Collection: Punch Needle- Paper or Cloth Patterns

Orphaned Wool Punch Needle Patterns are available in two formats:  Paper Patterns & Patterns on Weaver's Cloth.

All Orphaned Wool Punch Needle Patterns include a Full-Color Thread Placement  Guide. The Placement guide is a beautiful visual guide detailing where each thread color is in the design, along with the Instructions and pattern in your choice of format: Paper Pattern or Pattern on Weavers Cloth.

Some patterns provide a choice of thread companies you can use to complete the design, along with the standard DMC Floss.

These options may include using Valdani Threads. A select group of patterns includes using the Rustic Moire Wool Threads. The beauty of having these options is that they allow you to combine thread types to complete your design.

I am a big fan of DMC Floss (using 3 of the 6 strands) and the Valdani Thread size #12 thread together in a design. Using the Valdani in the larger areas and the DMC in the other parts of the design is a cost-effective way to create a terrific finished pattern.

Patterns include instructions on creating the design, the needle length settings or changes, Needle size, thread types, estimated amounts needed to complete the design, and any special instructions. Orphaned Wool designs were created using the Ultra Punch Needle, also available here; see Supplies in the main menu.

Paper Patterns: These patterns can be traced on Weaver's cloth fabric. I recommend using a lightbox to help trace the paper pattern and a Micron 05 Archival Ink Pen to trace the design onto your Weaver's cloth fabric.

Cloth Patterns:   This "Ready to go" fabric pattern is professionally printed on high-quality Weavers Cloth fabric. The design is ready to be placed on your frame or hoop; They are our "ready-to-go patterns"; no tracing is needed. Just start punching!

Some patterns offer Custom Thread Kits- DMC Floss, Valdani Perle Cotton, or Rustic Moire Wool Threads; See Patterns with Custom Thread Kits for these patterns & kits.

See Supplies for Weavers Cloth, Ultra Punch Needles, Tips & Technique booklet & other Punch Needle supplies.

I hope you enjoy the Orphaned Wool selection of Punch Needle Patterns.
